Inspection Requests
ALL Inspection Requests MUST be submitted in via Email to: permits@cleveland.texas.gov.
Inspection Request Cut-off Times (for NEXT BUSINESS DAY Inspections):
- Monday-Thursday: 4 PM
- Friday: 11:30 AM
**No Weekend or After Hours Inspections are offered at this time.**

The City of Cleveland adheres to the following building codes (effective December 15, 2016):

Inspections Required During Construction
Depending on your project, there may be more inspections required:
- Form Inspection: Building set back line and slab elevations
- Plumbing (Ground): Water, sewer under slab, etc.
- Foundation: Rebar, concrete
- Frame: Studs, rafters, and joists in place and dried in
- Plumbing Top-Out: Waste and vent lines
- Electrical Rough: Electrical boxes and wire run
- HVAC Rough: Duct and unit set
- Water and Sewer Outside Structure: Pipes in ground and to grade
- Plumbing Final Including Gas Test: Fixtures set and gas valves on with mercury gauge
- Electrical Final: Switched and plugged and service built
- HVAC Final: Grills and outside units set
- Grading and Landscape: Swales and drainage
- Building Final: Smoke detectors and all interior complete
*This is a list of minimum inspections required for standard construction. Multi-family, residential, commercial, or industrial construction may require additional or different inspections. The contractor must arrange for such special inspections with the Development Services Department.
